super sneaky!

today i spent 3 and 1/2 hours down at the childrens school taking school photos! everything from class photos to staff, prefects, families to individuals to friends! i had alot of fun and it went really well. now comes the job of editing the 459 photos i took, and doing up the class photos on a template with names etc!

a good friend of mine wanted a family photo of her 4 children, but her eldest did not?! lol so i pulled a fast one at school today and told him that one had been organised and could he please go and get his siblings ready for the family photo! ha even got him to smile :)

so here is one super sneak as the photos will not be ready for at least 3 weeks! but i quickly had a play with this for you :)

pop off the page

layer after layer after layer! popping off the page is right!! and it is very very cool :) i am loving the new class at studio calico right "pop off the page" by jen jockish. taking me out of my comfort zone, which is always a good thing and helping me to layer up in the scrapping department! ha

i've done 4 layouts so far and man alive they chew through your stash! hehe...

*i added extra veneer, a random button from my desk and some oa tidbits and vellum!*

baby love, sharing a sneak :)

scrapbooking and photos go hand in hand! and i guess it's no secret i love them both! and sharing the love, well thats just a blessing in it's self too.

so when the martins from church recently had their little girl, my gift was some photos!! and today i took some of their beautiful daughter. next week i will go back and take more of her and of chris and sunny together with their 2 gorgeous sons! today was so much fun and the boys were so sweet and really wanted to be in on it! ha and all went well until my battery died??!! yup you would have thought i'd have checked first??!! who does that??!! thankfully sunny is a gem :)

so very quickly chris and sunny here are a few sneaks of your precious bundle!

i hope you like them. i think she is just gorgeous and cant wait to take more next week with a full battery :) lol

seasons...

WOW! how quickly seasons how and go! this week i was reminded of this. my oldest boy hamish got engaged :) he is 18 1/2 and tracey is 21 1/2.. they have been together 2 years, so we are not surprised at all... but i was still of my oh my!! ha as my father said... he was in nappies (diapers) only yesterday!!

made me also realise what a wonderful hobby we have, our seasons do come and go so quickly.. he was actually only a wee nipper just yesterday! he is the loveliest young man and he and tracey are the loveiest young couple :) we are delighted for them! i of course had to take a few photos :) well it is another season is it not??

oh dont you love his workers hands? he farms!! and i just love her ring :) 18ct white gold with a 1/2ct diamond!

and i love the one of them one unawares

awww they are so dang sweet :) sighhhh

3 layouts in days?!

um woahhhh.... nearly unheard of these days! lol so i am grabbing with both hands and soaking it up! lol must be the new class i have started at big picture classes... lisa days sketch class. really nothing like a new sketch everyday to get the ol' mojo going!

well actually one of them was while i was waiting for the class to start :) unless otherwise stated all layouts use studio calico kit "so cal"

yup silly self portrait photos! gotta love them, and one day we will be good at them! ha

extras are: buttons,mr huey clay, glassene bag, washi, rhinestones (cant remember brand) from previous kit!

this one is sketch one for the class....

found this a hard sketch to use and it sure did stretch me! so i stuck with the elements only really.

extras are: used mr huey gold and clay mists, rhinestones as above, studio calico heart veneers, glassene bag, sc journal tag, washi, joy pin.

have to say i really love how this layout came up in the end :)

and last but not least, sketch 2, which i stuck to by the book really! its a fairly simple one and i didn't dress it up to much... think the head was a bit to sore to focus to much more, but it is what it is :)

um, dont take photos at 10pm! lol they do not come up well :) anyway story told and it looks better in person and my youngest likes it and really it looks not to shabby in person! ha

onwards and upwards, next one has arrived and i will carry on in my quest to complete the class! ha i do however say that every class i take :) and i am hopeless at online classes it has to be said. BUT i think sketches are different?!

so keep an eye out over the next few days i have some cool new sil files to share :)

hexagon love

it is a trend i have to admit i did not get! lol but with hexagons popping up in my kits every month they kinda grew on me :) and yes its a love!

so i made this background in my sil programme using a tcw mask as a starting point and love how it came out.

cut the page out, then lined the back of it with colour added some more colour over a few shapes using the cuts as templates and away i went!! one of my faves in awhile i think :)

anyway, thought i would share the file with you if you are a sil fan!
